Taormina, Mount Etna & Syracuse

We took an overnight ferry from Genoa to Palermo that we escaped very quickly trying to make it through the insane driving that goes on here.

We spent the entire time near Catania, in a seaside village called Aci Castello for a friends wedding. Visiting the surrounding area including a hike on Mount Etna, the most active volcano in Europe, the ancient fortified town of Syracuse; and Taormina, a jewel perched on the Mediterranean sea.
